On May 21,
2005, Pinebrook Manor hosted our daughter’s
wedding and reception. We’ve attended many
weddings spread from Cape Cod to New
Orleans, but never to one equal to hers in
terms of beauty, quality of food and drink,
and value. Terry and Melanie have created
the perfect setting for small- and
medium-sized weddings – a setting that will
only improve as they complete installation
of their English garden and other amenities.
The guest rooms are among the finest and
largest you’ll find in a B&B, and their
breakfasts are sumptuous and generous. Their
reception area is tucked between the dining
room (which made a perfect buffet) and the
bar. We used Terry’s recorded music
(hand-picked by the bride and groom), which
was cost-effective while allowing a
selection of authentic sounds ranging from
70’s R&B to 90’s Texas swing. |

Our hosts are
on good terms with several local merchants
who supplied the catering, the flowers, and
bar service. All were wonderful in terms of
service, attitude, and end product. This
wedding was planned and pulled off in seven
weeks, pretty much without a hitch.
I can’t say enough good things about
Pinebrook Manor. Terry even ordered perfect
weather for our front lawn ceremony, and
although it was looking pretty shaky earlier
in the day, by 5:00 it was perfect. If
you’re looking for a place to hold a
Carolina mountain ceremony, do yourself a
favor and look here first. And then there
won’t be any reason to look anywhere else. |
